On the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives has launched the Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Program to ensure the economic empowerment of Pakistan’s youth. The program is pursuing this mission by awarding 60,000 paid internships to young graduates across Pakistan. This portal provides a one-stop-shop for the eligible youth to apply for Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Program (BNIP).

Despite lengthy stints at educational institutes, gaps remain among Pakistan’s young graduates in terms of marketable skills and practical experience. This serves as a barrier to their entry in the job market and underlies their high unemployment rate. The Prime Minister’s Ba-Ikhtiyar Naujawan Internship Program is breaking these barriers for young graduates by equipping them with requisite skills through off-job and on-job training, and providing them with the work experience they require for entering the job market.
